I didn’t want to do this…

… but I had no choice. Either spend somewhere between $2,500 and $7,500 to get my entire exhaust system, including two catalytic converters, replaced or get another vehicle. My current vehicle was only worth about $2K on KBB. So I looked into getting something that was newer than what I had and had less than 100,000 miles on it.

That is very difficult to do these days. Most vehicles under 100,000 miles usually go for $20K or above. I didn’t want to buy a high mileage vehicle and have to make payments and pay for repairs down the road. I found a place that has the best used vehicle selection whereby they have less than 100,000 miles. So I’ll give a shoutout to:

Shirlie Slack Mitsubishi of Fredericksburg, VA .

This is not an affiliate link. They have a nice selection of Mitsubishi vehicles. But they also have a great selection of used vehicles that are low mileage and priced right. So today I purchased a 2019 Subaru Outback Limited vehicle. It’s five years old and has only 59,000 miles on it. I got a good interest rate, no downpayment and a five year loan. And my insurance actually went down $58 from my previous vehicle.

I owned a Subaru Forester between 1999 and 2004. It was a very good vehicle. That’s why I went with Subaru again. I look forward to driving this vehicle. What I don’t look forward to is the payment. Hopefully, I’ll be able to miraculously make it work.
