Julie and I spent Christmas, 2023 visiting her parents in Sacramento, CA. They were very gracious to us and we had a nice time staying there. One night, Julie’s Mom drove us to an area about four blocks away from where they lived called Rockmont Circle. The street itself was a wide circle that was about .7 miles around. There were about 100 houses on this circle

This was the most decorated for Christmas neighborhood that I have ever seen. The decorations were first rate and there were a lot at each house. We only saw two houses that were not decorated. Traffic was slow going around the circle because one had to be on the lookout for kids darting across the street as well as vehicles stopping to take pictures.

Our experience was so neat that we decided to walk back to it a few nights later. Temperatures were in the low 60’s and it was foggy. Also, we got there right around dinner time so not all of the displays were turned on. One house was selling cakes, candy, etc. to help support the local high school sports teams. Miraculously, the fog cleared up half way around the circle and we got some great pictures. We even saw three different types of stretch limousines making the slow procession around the circle.

We gave such a glowing report when we got back to Julie’s parents house that a bunch of the relatives wanted to go to Rockmont Circle. So we went a third time on Christmas Eve! There were six or seven of us this time. Temperatures were cooler, in the high 40’s. Again we had a great time and the crowds were enormous.
