I’ve had my 2019 Subaru Outback for about 3 months now. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase of this vehicle. In the forthcoming paragraphs I will list the pros and cons of this vehicle and give it a star rating.

First the pros: This vehicle has been a pleasure to drive. It has handled well, gotten combined gas mileage in the high 20’s and has not left me stranded.

So far I have put about 2,500 miles on this vehicle. I have done mostly local driving to the store and to local hikes. I also did a 450 mile trip within West Virginia as part of my WV VIPP program. The vehicle did well.

Hub-O-Meter keeps track of mileage for RV, truck and trailer tires.

As far as maintenance goes I did get an oil change & filter, four new tires and an all wheel drive allignment. I also made my first payment. This vehicle is ten times better than what I was driving before.

Now for the Cons. I admit that I didn’t do as much research on this vehicle as I should have. I didn’t get a Carfax. I still don’t know if this vehicle has been in an accident or not. I hope that it hasn’t.

I don’t want to make this post too lengthy but the areas of concern that I have for this vehicle are the CVT transmission and the telematics system called Starlink. I bought an extended warranty on this vehicle so I’m not too worried. I had a bad experience with a CVT transmission in the past so I’m concerned. As for the Starlink system there are some minor issues now. I have discovered workarounds for them so I think that I will be OK.

The Subaru dealer that I have been going to has been very good to work with. And with the exception of the Starlink system, there are no issues right now. So I still think that the Subaru Outback that I purchased is a good vehicle after 3 months. I’ll give it four stars.
