An adventurer embarked on a trip to explore remote parts of Alaska. He stayed in an old, abandoned bus and foraged for his food. When he couldn’t cross a swollen river in the spring and his food supply ran short, he ate something that he shouldn’t have eaten to survive and ended up dying.

An adventurer was doing a flip flop of the Appalachian Trail. She crossed a road in Maine and did not continue on the AT but on an unmarked old road instead. She got lost, set up her tent and awaited rescue. However, no one was able find her and she perished.

Three adventurers lost their lives in a climbing accident in the North Cascades, reportedly due to an anchor failure during a rappel descent in bad weather.

These are all examples of things that could go wrong on an adventure trip. Global Rescue is an organization that helps one plan as well as mitigate risks during outdoor adventures.

Prices start as low as $139. I have a special affiliate partner page with Global Rescue set up where you can read more about the services offered as well as utilize a benefits price calculator.
